Skin is something unique and personal. It is use to identify and assume identity.

Through this series of photographs I wanted to allow viewers to look at a person, not just their environment, or the way people dress themselves up to be. By looking predominantly at the skin and the hair of each individual it removes the distraction of personal effort and focuses on the humanity of each person. Goosebumps, acne, and peach fuzz are all natural functions of skin and are displayed proudly in these photographs. Skin is a unifying element between humans. It is intimate and vulnerable, because, to a large degree, we can’t control it.
